Mossy Glen
Acrylic on canvas, 20" x 20"
A broad band of deep moss green crosses a pale, creamy ground. Below it, the color thins into soft green washes and darker browns, then runs down in long, uneven drips. The raw linen shows at the edges.
The title comes from Mossy Glen, a 40-foot waterfall and cascade along Carlton Brook in Randolph, New Hampshire, where I spent summers growing up.
Green, water, and a long fall.
